USec Raymundo Elefante, Undersecretary for Acquisition and Resource Management of the Department of National Defense visited the Western Mindanao Command purposely to pay a courtesy call on the commander, Maj. Gen. Alfredo Rosario, Jr. on November 23, 2021. On his arrival, USec Elefante was welcomed by the WestMinCom Commander together with Brig. Gen. Arturo Rojas, Deputy Commander for Operations and the Command Staff led by Col. Elmer Suderio.
Maj. Gen. Rosario, Jr. thanked the DND official for taking the time to drop by the command during his visit to this city. USec Elefante made a site visit and inspection of the Long-Range Patrol Aircraft (LRPA) Hangarage Project at Edwin Andrews Air Base in Sta. Maria, this city.
USec Elefante commended the Western Mindanao Command for reaching greater heights in the campaign against terrorism and insurgency. “We acknowledge the efforts of our soldiers to ensure the safety and security of the people particularly here in the southern part of the country,” he said.
In his visit to the command, USec Elefante was accompanied by Lt. Col. Orville Dizon of the Philippine Air Force and Maj. Conrado Banjo Mamaradlo, Jr. of the Philippine Marines.
