Brgy Cabingan, Marawi City, Lanao del Sur (Station) – The 12th CMO Battalion, CMOR, Philippine Army headed by LTC ANDRES A SORIANO INF PA, Commanding Officer participated in a Unity Walk for Peace Covenant with the theme “Pag Ibinenta mo ang Boto mo parang Ibinenta mo na rin ang Kinabukasan Mo”, March 16, 2019 in the morning.
Unity Walk started at 6 o’clock in the morning gathered at Mindanao State University (MSU) Admin Building Marawi City and march towards MSU Gymnasium followed by the peace rally program. Said activity was participated in by various groups of Local Government Unit’s’; 12th CMO Battalion, Philippine Army headed by Lt. Colonel Andres A Soriano (INF) Philippine Army; Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office headed by Police Provincial Director Police Senior Superentendent Madzgani Muksan Mukara; Muslim Youth Council headed by Senior Consultant Mohammad Aiman B Langlang; 103rd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division Philippine Army headed by Colonel Romeo S. Brawner Jr Inf (GSC) PA; KAZALIMBAGO Movement headed by Alexander Undac Dimaporo; Philippine Muslim Women Council, Incorporated; and Muslim Brothers from different sectors.
The Peace Rally Program started by the Universal prayer of Ulama Council of Lanao del Sur Aleem Anuar M. Radiamoda and a welcome remarks of Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office Deputy Provincial Director for Operation Police Superentendent Richard Adonis Juan Mabawel. There is also acknowledgement of participants spearheaded by Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office Chief PCAD Branch/PIO Police Chief Inspector Michael Bangit Angeles and a message from various leaders and directors of said attendee.
The activity ended by Peace Covenant Signing and Releasing of Doves as a sign of Unity and Peace towards Muslim and Christian Brothers in connection of upcoming election and uprising a Marawi City against terrorism and rebellion. Reaching its new comradeship as brothers and sisters for a peacekeeping Lanao del Sur and for the next generation to come#
