Two NPA members surrrender to Army in Surigao Sur


BISLIG CITY, Surigao del Sur-Camp Jaime N Ferrer Sr, Brgy Maharlika, Bislig City (Stn) – One (1) New People’s Army (NPA) rebel of Former Guerrilla Front 8, North Eastern Mindanao Regional Committee (FGF8, NEMRC) and one NPA rebel of Regional Sentro De Gravidad (RSDG) of NEMRC surrendered with one (1) high-powered and one low-powered firearms to 75th Infantry “Marauder” Battalion on Wednesday, June 03, 2020.

The NPA rebels identified as AKA Jack and AKA Vince and they brought with them one (1) M16 Rifle and one (1) UZ1 Cal. 380mm.

AKA Juan expressed his gratitude to 75IB and said. “Nagpasalamat ko sa 75IB ug sa akong mga kauban sa una ug naingganyo ko nga mu-surrender. Nahibaw-an nako nga dako ang maitabang sa 75IB sa ako. Unya gusto ko magsundalo para makatabang ko ug tinuod sa mga tao kung naay higayon.” AKA Juan stated.

Moreover, the surrenderees will be enrolled in the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) of the government, as they will be receiving immediate cash and livelihood assistance as well as remuneration for the surrendered firearms.

“The 75IB is always here, ready to welcome and assist you to start living a new life in peace and harmony. The Philippine Army will never be tired of embracing those CNT members who are willing to surrender to the government.” Lt. Col. Munda said.

The Philippine Army in collaboration with every government agency has been implementing the campaign to end the insurgency through Executive Order No. 70 which is the Whole-Of-Nation Approach to End Local Communist Armed Conflict in attaining sustainable peace and development.
