Soldiers continue relief operations in typhoon-affected areas

TANAY, Rizal — The typhoon-affected children of Brgy Sta Ines were waiting excitedly with their parents as they watched troops unload boxes of donations from an army truck.

Soldiers from the Army’s 2nd Infantry ‘Jungle Fighter’ Division traversed through rough terrain to deliver simple joys and relief goods to the children and families of the said barangay in Tanay, Rizal on Saturday, November 21.

Slippers, toys, and packed food, which were donated by Mrs Lorna Esperon, Mrs Cecile Parlade, Mrs Belinda Robinson and Ms Venus Emperada were handed out to the residents. The relief kits were then turned over for distribution by the Barangay.

As the soldiers departed from the area, the children ran to the military trucks shouting, “Maraming salamat kina Ma’am, sir!”

Indeed, there’s always a rainbow after the rain.
