BALER, Aurora-Government troops discovered on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 a food cache of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) of the New People’s Army (NPA) in the outskirts of Sitio Katupnan, Barangay Ditumabo, San Luis, Aurora.
The Philippine Army’s 91st Infantry “Sinagtala” Battalion, 7th Infantry “Kaugnay” Division, Philippine Army, officer-in-charge Lt. Col. Julito B. Recto Jr., said in an interview that the food cache believed to be owned by the remnants of the dismantled Komiteng Larangang Guerrila Sierra Madre (KLG-SM) of the NPA was a result of the information given by the residents residing in the area.
The troops recovered two (2) gallons full of rice estimated to be sixty (60) kilos at the vicinity Sitio Katupnan, Barangay Ditumabo, San Luis, Aurora.
The recovered items will be brought to the Headquarters of Charlie Company in Barangay Diteki, San Luis, Aurora for proper disposition and documentation.
Ltc Recto Jr lauded the people of Ditumabo for providing information that led to the discovery of NPA food cache.
