Placer, Surigao del Norte – Soldiers from Charlie Company, 30th Infantry (Python) Battalion (30IB) joined the Blood Letting Activity at Brgy. Poblacion Gymnasium, San Francisco, Surigaodel Norte, yesterday.
The activity was conducted by the Caraga Blood Bank headed by Dr. Roland Dotar, Medical Officer IV together with the LGU San Francisco headed by Doctor Kithleen Rhea Grace D. Ramos,MHO San Francisco and the president of the AbanteSurigao Development Organization Inc., Mr. Mark Anthony Basol.
More or less 4,500cc of blood has been donated by the troops of 30IB to the Caraga Blood Bank. This activity helped to provide blood to those who are in need of it.
In a statement, Dra. Ramos said, “This activity maybe simple but has a huge impact since some Surigaonon finds hard on looking for donors. They really need our help, especially on emergency situation and the blood bank has scarcity of supply. We appreciate the sense of volunterism of everyone. Together, we can save more lives.”
Meanwhile, Lt. Col. Jeffrey A Villarosa, Commanding Officer of 30IB said, “Our mandate is to serve the people while securing the land. By participating in this event, we are extending our message that your 30IB is here to help the Surigaonons in every way that we can.”
“Your safery is our job and to save lives is our priority. We commend the initiative of our stakeholders in their efforts to save lives in the province of Surigao del Norte and Dinagat Island. Let us donate blood, and save other’s lives.” Lt Col. Villarosa ended.
