Poor families in four remote villages receive fresh eggplant harvested from 91IB Sinagtala Farm in Aurora


BALER, Aurora – Some 72 poor families have benefited from the 91st Infantry “Sinagtala” Battalion, Philippine Army in four remote villages of this province, amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic on Saturday, September 20, 2020.

Lieutenant Colonel Reandrew P. Rubio Philippine Army, Battalion Commander of 91IB said that to let the people feel that the government is concerned about their plight this pandemic, the military conducted distribution of fresh eggplants they harvested from the “SINAGTALA FARM” in Sitio Dimanagsag, Barangay Calabuanan, Baler, Aurora.

The fresh eggplants were packed in more-or-less two (2) kilos each by the military.

The eggplants were distributed by the 91st IB at Sitio Sablang, Barangay Diteki, San Luis, Aurora; Barangays Kadayacan and Bayanihan, Maria Aurora, Aurora and Barangay Cozo, Casiguran Aurora.

50 food pack of eggplants were given in Sitio Sablang, Barangay Diteki in the town of San Luis; 12 in barangay Cozo, in the town of Casiguran; and 10 in the barangays of Kadayacan and Bayanihan in Maria Aurora, Aurora.

The initiative is to help the community in the far-flung barangays.

Lt. Col. Rubio encouraged the residents to support the programs of President Rodrigo Duterte and urged them to stop supporting the activities of the New People’s Army (NPA).
