The gun battle which ensued the recovery of an Anti-personnel Mine (APM) reflects the enemies’ continuous violation of the International Humanitarian Law (IHL). The use of such destructive weapon is a clear violation of its restrictions as stated in the rules of the armed conflict. Such behavior of continuous violation of Human rights led to the enlightenment of the people they terrorized and withdrew their support for this lost cause.

LTC EMERSON P DE VERA, the Commanding Officer of 65th Infantry (Stalwart) Battalion, vows to ensure the peace and safety of the residents in its Area of Operation (AO). The unit will continue to intensify the conduct of its operations to secure the area against any form of terrorism.
