Cabingan, Marawi City— Over 20,000 relief goods compose of family packs with clothes, hygiene kits, sleeping kits, and drinking kits from various agencies has been distributed to the Marawi Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in different evacuation areas of Marawi City in joint cooperation of Philippine Army and our Local Government Units (LGUs).
Consist of 5,000 families affected by the Marawi Siege has been the recipient of relief goods and kits from DSWD, Joint Task Force Bangon Marawi, LGUs, different agencies and stakeholders from our government. DSWD and Joint Task Force Bangon Marawi conducted the distribution with the help of Joint Task Group Tabang Philippine Army headed by 12 Civil-Military Operations (CMO) Battalion Commander Lt. Colonel Andres A. Soriano.
Lt. Colonel Soriano urge the IDPs to utilize the food packs in the right way and assist the distribution of relief goods from different agencies to be more coordinated and to make it fast and easy to give to each families. Thru the effort of 12 CMO battalion the transaction of giving and extending help to the victims can be as easy and well organize. Hijab Troopers also facilitate all the children and women of the different evacuation area in Marawi City affected by Marawi Siege. Hijab Troopers brings out the biggest role as they rebuilding the torn fabric of the Maranao society while showing to the world that women can will always be able to heal the wounds of the victims and also teaching the children about the psychological impact of war to their young mind, teaching them that we should antagonize terrorism and learn to love not hate.
The Joint Task Force Bangon Marawi is an inter-agency task force group organized to facilitate the rehabilitation, recovery and reconstruction efforts in Marawi after the battle between ISIS- linked militants and government forces in the city left the locality in ruins.
Up to date, the Philippine Army still reaching its effort and help to establish the new marawi and free from terrorism.
