It has come to the attention of 6th Infantry Division (6th ID) and Joint Task Force Central (JTFC) that an alleged member of CAFGU Active Auxiliary (CAA) was beaten by  residents of Barangay Makir, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao over the weekend on January 4, 2020.

The alleged member of CAA was identified as DatuIm O. Tudog. Basing from the records of 6th ID, Tudog was a former member of Special CAA under 38th Infantry Battalion. He was terminated from the service last November 6, 2019 for failing the neuro test which is one of the mandatory requirements for the service.

A report was circulating in the social media that he was allegedly kidnapping children in the areas of Maguindanao that led the people in the community to beat him up. Basing the matter on police reports, there were no reported missing children in Maguindanao contradictory to the claims of the residents of Barangay Makir.

While civilians, have the right to do citizen’s arrest, they don’t have the right to beat up the person. 6th ID strongly condemns this act as former SCAA Tundog was just in the area. Additionally, JTFC and 6th ID will not tolerate any military and CAA personnel who commit any criminal acts or any violations of the law.

After the incident, Tudog was rescued by the police and was brought to the Police Station for questioning. He is now under the care of his family.

Since SCAA Tudogwas a former militiaman,JTFC will assisthis familyshould they decide to file a case against those persons involved in the mauling incident.
