Five drug suspects fall in Joint Law Enforcement Operation


CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – Five drug suspects were caught in a law enforcement operation at Barangay Eastern, Wao, Lanao del Sur on February 11, 2020.

The suspects were identified as Cesar Delfin, Jomar Delfin, Maricel Ramos, Allan Edris and Ian Meliton of Barangay Eastern in Wao.

Combined Personnel of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM), Wao Municipal Police, and 34th Infantry Battalion conducted the drug buy bust operation against the suspects at the residence of Cesar Delfin at Purok 3, Brgy. Estrella, Wao, LDS at around 6:00 a.m.

An undercover agent posed as a buyer and transacted with the suspects.
The operation yielded 34 pieces of transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu” weighing 20 grams with an estimated street value of Php 136,000, a 500-peso bill used as buy-bust money, and a caliber .45 pistol with ammunition.

Joint Task Force Central Commander, Maj. Gen. Diosdado C. Carreon said that the army will continuously conduct law enforcement support operations with other law enforcement agencies to eradicate illegal drugs in the country.

The suspects are now under the custody of Wao Municipal Police Station and are facing charges for selling illegal drugs and possession of illegal firearms.
