FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila- The Civil-Military Operations Regiment conducted pinning of ranks to the newly promoted Private First Class and traditional reception rites on Friday, November 16, 2018, in a ceremony held at the Headquarters & HQS Battalion Multipurpose Hall Area, here.
Lieutenant Colonel Andres A Soriano (Inf) PA, Battalion Commander of this unit led in pinning of rank insignia to the newly promoted enlisted personnel he was assisted by the Battalion Sergeant Major Cosme A Talosig.
Private First Class is the junior enlisted rank for Army it is the first promotion most enlisted Soldiers can earn after completing one year service. The job is to apply new skills and knowledge learned during training and to continue to learn how to follow orders given by higher-ranked superiors and immersed in military cultures and values and are taught the core skills required by their service component.
In his message that “you start new chapter in your military service that rank is equivalent for increased of responsibility and higher level expectations from your seniors and superiors” Outwardly, it will also mandate greater sacrifice from love ones and from families.
“I want to congratulate you for your dedication and devotion to duty”, Lt. Col. Andres A Soriano, added.
The Philippine Army through the years had transformed to become a more dynamic and responsive organization through the Army’s Transformation Road map. By this, it is the Army’s desire and conviction to place brilliant leaders in key position to ensure that it will always be on track in support of the national government thrust in building a peaceful and stronger nation.#
