Doña Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan- The 48th Infantry (GUARDIANS) Battalion participated in the Joint Peace and Security Cordinating Council (JPSCC) Meeting in Bataan, yesterday.
The JPSCC was presided by Police Senior Superintendent Marcelo B Dayag, Provincial Director Bataan and was attended by all the Chiefs of Police in the Province of Bataan. Highlights during the meeting were the security updates in the province and the security measures for the upcoming 2019 midterm elections.
“The good working relationship of your Philippine Army and the PNP is paramount especially that we have an upcoming event, the National and Local Elections. We are duty bounded to give the people a safe environment for them to exercise their right of suffrage,” said Brigadier General Lenard T Agustin, Commander of the 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division. Lieutenant Colonel Felix Emeterio Valdez, Acting Commander of 48IB said, “As your partner in attaining peace and security in the province of Bataan, the 48IB Troopers are committend to perform our duties well to ensure a safe, peaceful and fair election”.
