Army’s 91IB assisted the LGU for the distribution of food packs in coastal barangays of Aurora town


BALER, Aurora-All households in the coastal barangays in the municipality of San Luis, Aurora get family food packs from the Aurora Representative Rommel Rico T. Angara, Lone District Aurora Province and local government unit (LGU) of San Luis, Aurora on 05-06 September 2020.

LTC RUBIO said that they have fast-tracked the distributions to all households assisting the LGU headed by San Luis Mayor Ariel Angara de Jesus, Vice Mayor Tristan Eric Pimentel, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office Chief Gabriel Llave, Board Member Philip B. Bautista and Sangguniang Bayan Claro Q. Olivar.

The personnel of Charlie Company of 91st IB led by Sgt. Edgardo Villajuan Jr. together with 4 personnel of Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) Active Auxiliaries delta company from Barangay Dibut patrol base under 1st Lieutenant Carlo T. Omayon, Charlie Company Commander provided the 2-day security assistance and manpower in the distribution of 1,639 food packs along coastal barangays of San Luis town.

296 food packs (families) have been distributed in Barangay Dibut; 296 in Sitio Diotorin, barangay Dibayabay; 365 in Barangay proper Dibayabay; 532 in Barangay Dikapinisan; 446 in Sitio Alasanay, barangay Dimanayat and Barangay proper and hazard pay to all front liners at coastal barangays of the said places.

“Our government troops secured the barangays and gave them family packs house-to-house. The residents have been advised to stay in their respective houses and wait for the distribution team to maintain social distancing and prohibit people from gathering,” LTC RUBIO said, explaining that the 91st IB will continue their active participation in endeavors like this in the service of the Filipino people especially during these times of crisis.
