TAGO, Surigao del Sur – security forces in the Province of Surigao del Sur formally sends- off their personnel in connection with the NLE 2019 held at H36IB, Sitio Upper Mambago, Bgry Dayoan, Tago, Surigao del Sur today, April 6 2019 at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.

The send-off ceremony was participated by the troops from the 36 th Infantry Battalion, 75th Infantry Battalion, 7 th Special Forces Company and Police Provincial Office of the Province of Surigao del Sur spearheaded by Atty. Rizza Ann Donalyn Culima-Constantino, Provincial Election Supervisor, and Col Maurito L Licudine, Commander of 402 nd Brigade, PA.

During the ceremony, LTC Xerxes A Trinidad, Commanding Officer of 36IB, PA presented the security forces to the COMELEC and 402 nd Brigade Commander to inform the preparedness and completeness of troops prior deployment to different barangays and respective polling precinct this coming Election Day, May 13, 2019.

As part of the commitment of the security forces, troops being presented took an oath in front of their Commanders and COMELEC Officials to bear true faith in the fulfillment of their duties and responsibilities in the accomplishment of the mission for a peaceful, orderly and secure electio day.

Atty. Rizza Ann Donalyn Culima-Constantino, Provincial Election Supervisor, extends her gratitude to the security forces and said, “thank you for your never ending support to the COMELEC. What you are doing is more than courage; it is a sacrifice for yourself and your family for something greater. Your sacrifices for the people of Surigao del Sur will always be remembered. We hope and pray that you accomplish your given tasks for NLE 2019 and return safely with pride and integrity.”

Col Maurito L Licudine PA, Commander of 402 nd Infantry Brigade inspired the army and PNP troops and stated, “The security forces are all set and ready for its significant role comes Election Day. Complementing on each other’s weaknesses and combining our strengths results to our sleepless preparations for the successful conduct of a secured, peaceful, and orderly election. It can only be achieved if we work together in accepting the challenge of leading the fight for peace and security in the province of Surigao del Sur”

Soldiers and policemen have forged a plan on how to secure the integrity of the electoral process and the community. The send-off ceremony symbolizes their readiness in the performance of their duties for the National and Local Election 2019.
