Army in Panay Island turned-over newly rehabilitated farm to market road in Lambunao, Iloilo

Army in Panay formally turned-over the newly rehabilated Farm to Market road of four barangays of Lambunao on October 30, 2018. The project has an approximately distance of five kilometres road rehabilitation that connects the four barangays of Lambunao namely: Brgy Supoc, Brgy Po-ong, Bry Simsiman and Brgy Corot-on that benefited four hundred twenty-two (422) household with a total of two thousand two hundred seven (2,207) populace.
The road rehabilitation was conceptualized through the Project Partnership Agreement between Local Government Unit of Lambunao, with 301 st Infantry Brigade and the 552 nd Engineer Construction Battalion who undertook the said project utilizing 1 unit Road Grader and 1 unit Road Roller that formally started on September 20, 2018 and completed on October 26, 2018 with the duration of thirty seven (37) calendar days.
Aside from turned-over ceremony, a Medical & Dental Civic Action Program and free Haircut activities were also conducted. The ceremony were attended by Hon Jason R Gonzales the municipal mayor of Lambunao and his SB members, the four barangay captains and their council, LTC ARNOLD R CORPUZ CE (GSC) PA, Commanding officer of 552nd Engineer Construction Battalion and MAJ ALREY MARTINEZ (CAV) PA, Executive officer of 61st Infantry Battalion.
Hon. Jason R Gonzales expressed his gratitude to the successful completion of project. He also added that this farm to market road will greatly improve the mobility of people in bringing their goods to the town proper. Thus, provide easy access to the populace, employment opportunities and facilitate basic social services to the community.
Also LTC CORPUZ added that the Philippine Army particularly the Army Engineers will continue to dedicate their efforts in performing infrastructure project for the benefits of the people in support to the socio-economic development program of the government and development initiatives through the construction of basic social infrastructure in the countryside.
