BISLIG CITY, Surigao del Sur-Camp Jaime N Ferrer Sr, Brgy Maharlika, Bislig City (Stn) – The 75th Infantry “Marauder” Battalion participates in the joint bloodletting activity held at Mangagoy Central Open Gym, Mangagoy, Bislig City, Surigao del Sur on October 08, 2019, Tuesday.
The joint bloodletting activity participated by the different organization in Bislig City includes the Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Coast Guard Auxillary 808th Squadron South-Eastern Mindanao, the 75IB composed of one (1) Platoon from Bravo “Bluefox” and Headquarters “Hunter” Company under Captain Edwin Leo J Francisco, Civil-Military Operations Officer of 75IB in cooperation with the Philippine National Red Cross Bislig Chapter and the City Health Office (CHO) Bislig headed by Dra. Brenda M Estrella, City Health Officer. This activity is in line with the commemoration of the 3rd Founding Anniversary of Bislig City Eagles Club with the activity’s Theme, “Give Blood, Save Life.” That resulted in eleven thousand two hundred fifty milliliters or cc (11,250 ml/cc) of blood donated from the personnel of different organization.
The activity’s theme, “Give Blood, Save Life,” is an expression of the common desire to give service to humankind by donating blood to help save more lives. And it likewise campaigned for personal health benefits of donors who regularly donate blood, according to recent studies, will have a lower risk for heart diseases.
Meanwhile, the Eagles Club of Bislig expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the time and effort given by every organization who donated their blood to prolong other’s lives.
Further, Lieutenant Colonel Warren C Munda, Commanding Officer of 75IB also expressed his gratitude for the unswerving partnership to this kind of activity where people and various organizations were united to donate blood to save the precious lives of those in need.
