BISLIG CITY, Surigao del Sur-Camp Jaime N Ferrer Sr., Brgy Maharlika, Bislig City (Stn) – The 75th Infantry “Marauder” Battalion assisted the Presidential Management Staff-Office of the President (PMS-OP), Caraga Region in the distribution of Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) in Democratico O. Plaza Memorial Hospital, Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur on March 30, 2020.
PPEs are specialized equipment used in a healthcare setting or even outside as needed to protect people and health care workers from the further transmission of any infectious diseases or any contaminants dangerous to health.
Thus, the PMS-OP turned over six (6) boxes with one hundred (100) sets of PPEs, one hundred (100) pieces of face shield, one (1) box of glove; and one hundred (100) pcs of shoe cover.
During this time of crisis, the Philippine Army is always there to assist the government unit and agencies in providing our medical/healthcare frontliners with the equipment they need to perform their duty and assure that they are well protected in serving those people infected with Coronavirus Disease 19 (COVID-19).
Thus, Miss Reygela M. Decalit, PMS-OP of Caraga Region expressed her gratitude to the troops of 75IB for the effort in picking-up the PPEs from Davao and for the troops’ assistance during the distribution of said equipment.
Lieutenant Colonel Warren C Munda, Commanding Officer of 75IB, is always in support to the government’s mandate, especially for the welfare of the frontliners in the medical facility performing whole-heartedly their profession in providing care to the sick especially people infected with COVID-19.
The Philippine Army supports the Department of Health (DOH) to combat the pandemic outbreak. On the daily tasks of our frontliners, it is best to take preventive measures to protect themselves from getting infected with COVID-19. Still, prevention is better than cure.
