AFP receives new ambulance, vehicles from AFPMBAI


CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) received new ambulance and vehicles from the Armed Forces and Police Mutual Benefit Association, Inc. (AFPMBAI) on Monday, October 11.

The equipment worth over Php7.6 Million was received by AFP Chief of Staff General Jose Faustino Jr in a joint turn-over and blessing ceremony held at the General Headquarters canopy area. “The AFP extends its appreciation to all the officers and members of the AFPMBAI for helping the military in the fight against COVID-19. This act o generosity continues to inspire our frontline workers to better perform their duties in overcoming the challenges of the pandemic,” General Faustino said. Donated were a Nissan Type 2 DOH Ambulance intended for the Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo Station Hospital; Toyota Hi-Ace Grandia van for the AFP Supply Accountable Office; a Honda motorcycle for each of the five Regional Pension and Gratuity Management Center units; and a 2021 Avanza multi-purpose vehicle for the
Office of The Judge Advocate General.

AFPMBAI also handed over office equipment for the AFP Finance Center and an Ultra HD television for the Joint Task Force – National Capital Region.

Present in the ceremony were Retired Major General Rizaldo Limoso, AFPMBAI President; Retired Colonel Eliezer Galam, Head of Corporate Services; Retired Brigadier General Rolando Manalo, Head of Area and Branch Operations; Retired Major General Dante Hidalgo, Head of Real Estate Division; and other AFPMBAI

The AFPMBAI is an organized mutual benefit association that provides security, protection and meaningful financial solutions for the uniformed services of the Philippines and their families.
It has donated various equipment to the military over the years to aid in its missions. Among which were four (4) coaster buses turned over to the AFP in
October 2020.

The AFP also received a Php14.1-Million worth of vehicle donation from AFPMBAI as well as medical equipment worth Php26 Million to help in its COVID-19 response last year.
