Doña Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan- The 48th Infantry (Guardians) Battalion sends off the students of Officer Preparatory Course (OPC) Class 69-18 “Himaglahi” who had their immersion activity, yesterday.

51 students of Officer Preparatory Class 69-18 “Himaglahi” of Officer Candidate School (OCS), Camp O’ Donnell, Brgy Sta Lucia, Capas, Tarlac visited the 48IB for three days as part of their on-the-job training.

Lieutenant Colonel Felix Emeterio Valdez, Acting Commanding Officer of 48IB welcomed the officers and men of the Officer Candidate School led by Colonel Ariel Reyes, Commandant together with other officers from the said school for the 3-day immersion of the students.

44 males and seven females of OPC 69-18 were deployed to Alpha and Charlie Company of 48IB to experience and be familiar with the life outside the walls of OCS.

The immersion became part of their academic activity prior their culmination/ graduation rites after more or less 6 months of training to mold them as future officers of the Philippine Army.

Brigadier General Lenard T Agustin AFP, Commander of the 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division extended his greetings to the students of OPC Cl 69-18.

LtCol Valdez said, “We, the Guardians Battalion, are glad that we imparted you some knowledge and wisdom during your immersion to our line companies. We hoped that you have maximized your learning and enjoyed your training under the Guardians Troopers and apply those to your units after you graduate from OCS ”.
