A total of 1,186 Indigenous People (IP) of Brgy. Sapang Uwak and Brgy. Kamias received the relief goods provided by the MSWD led by their coordinator Ms. Vickie Villaflor.

Outreach programs and relief goods distribution from the government and non –government organizations for earthquake victims continue to flow while military troops tirelessly offer their assistance to help communities affected by the quake.

Major General Lenard T Agustin AFP, Commander of the 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division said, “We can never tell when these kinds of calamities and disasters will occur. It is therefore necessary to actively participate in the prevention and disaster preparations, which include government and non-government agencies. We need to work as a team to make a greater impact. The Philippine Army cannot do it alone. We need you. We must work together for our kababayan.”

“It is hard for the victims to start anew after being hit by this kind of calamity. Even so, charities paved the way for these victims, especially the IPs, to receive goods and items that are basic to everyday life. The act of kindness and generosity of concerned agencies helped ease the pain and hopelessness that the victims may be feeling, and your Philippine Army will help alleviate your suffering,” said Lieutenant Colonel Felix Emeterio M Valdez, 48IB Acting Commanding Officer.
