Bancasi, Butuan City – The 402nd Infantry Brigade celebrates the 29th Year of the Institutionalization of the AFP Code of Conduct during the flag raising ceremony held on, October 28, 2019 at its Headquarters at Brgy Bancasi, Butuan City.

The highlight for this year’s celebration is to renew the soldier’s commitment to strictly abide to the AFP Code of Conduct. During the flag raising ceremony, the personnel of 402nd Brigade renewed their Oath of Adherence to the AFP Code of Ethics that serves as their guide in the performance of their mandate – to serve the people and secure the land.

Further, the message of the AFP Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Noel S. Clement Armed Forces of the Philippines was conveyed by the Commander of 402nd Brigade, Colonel Maurito L. Licudine to the Stingers Troopers.

Lieutenant General Clement in his message said, “In today’s celebration of the AFP Code of Conduct, I call on everyone to renew our commitment on the moral fibers that keep us on the right track. Let us walk with the intention to live each day with integrity. Let us imbibe the very values of the AFP – Honor, Service and Patriotism, in all opportunities where we are called to serve our country, our people, and our Almighty”.

Col Licudine added, “I urge everyone to strictly adhere to the AFP Code of Conduct in the performance of our duty. The Army does not tolerate graft and corruption committed by any member of the AFP regardless of rank or position. Always remember that we are public servants. Our public service is a public trust. Let us not betray our country and our people.”

Moreover, the flag raising ceremony in connection with the celebration of 29th Year of the Institutionalization of the AFP Code of Conduct was simultaneously conducted by all AFP units in the country.
