12th CMO Battalion participates Joint Medical Civic Outreach Program

Brgy Cabingan, Marawi City, Lanao del Sur (Station) – in order to address the needed medical attention particularly of the IDP-learners of Sagonsongan Elementary School, elements of 12 th CMO Battalion, CMOR, PA headed by LTC WILFREDO P AMOMA INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer participated in the Joint Medical Civic Outreach Program held at Sagonsongan Elementary School, Brgy Sagonsongan, Marawi City, Lanao del Sur on 05 January 2019.

Said activity was orchestrated by the DepEd-ARMM intended for the IDP-learners (Grades 1 to 10) supported by the Provincial government of Lanao del Sur, and in coordination with the 103rd Infantry Brigade, Joint Task Group Tabang, United Iligan, Kabalikat Civicom-MSU Chapter, Kusina ng Kalinga, City Schools of Marawi, Philippine Business for Social Progress and this unit.

The said activity has provided medical and basic services to the following; 180 learners availed from medical consultation, 273 free medicines/vitamins, 467 hygiene kit and clothing, 77 hair treatment, 61 free haircut, and 490 learners’ availed feeding activity and psycho social interventions. Likewise, the services have also extended to 200 teachers who benefited make up kit and 49 massage.

Hence, this activity has provided the needed medical and basic services of the IDP-learners whom they have been longing for the period of time. It has also strengthen the bond of partnership and strong collaboration with various partner stakeholders and has drawn a positive linkages between the partner stakeholders and the local
government units.
