CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan De Oro City – Eleven (11) survivors of the C130 Mishap in Patikul, Sulu arrived at the Camp Evangelista Station Hospital (CESH), 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.
Through the Western Mindanao Command (WMC), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the following injured personnel were transported by a Philippine Air Force FOKKER aircraft from Zamboanga City to Lumbia Airport, Cagayan de Oro City:

- Pvt Reque Mambabao PA – Bukidnon
- Pvt Renato B Tejares PA – Kipalo, Kapatagan , Lanao Del Norte
- Pvt Christian Joshua Pacal PA
- Pvt Jeason Mark S Balondo PA – Margosatubig, Zamboanga Dels Sur
- Pvt Jonel B Lagulay PA – Esperanza, Agusan del Sur
- Pvt Christian C Martorillas PA -Purok Pag asa Salawagan Quezon Bukidnon
- Pvt Olan W Acolentava PA – Lamirande Crest, Lumbia CDO
- Pvt Rodiel S Morales PA – Zone 8 Patag CDO
- Pvt Jon Klien D Gaid PA – Poblacion, Gitagum, Misamis Oriental
- Pfc Kristopher Bulat-ag PA – Cagayan de Oro City
Being residents within 4ID AOR, the eleven (11) injured personnel requested for evacuation to CESH, 4ID so that their families can easily assist and take care of them while they continue to recuperate from their injuries.
Pvt Tejares and Pvt Pacal emotionally thanked everyone who helped them during that ill-fated incident and on the outpouring support from the AFP, the government and the civilian stakeholders.
Likewise, Pvt Mambabao of Bukidnon also said “Dako akong pasalamat sa tanan nitabang namo, sa mga CAFGU og tropa kauban na ang mag sibilyan sa Patikul, sa among pamilya ug sa sa gobyerno nga wala mi pasagdi ug gipakita gyud nila ang saktong nga pag-atiman kanamo”.
Upon their arrival, the 4ID Commander, Major General Romeo S Brawner Jr, immediately visited the injured personnel yesterday afternoon, July 26, 2021 at their hospital beds. The visit uplifted the morale and strengthened the spirit of each personnel as they vowed to continue performing their mandate to serve the people and secure the land.
MGen Branwer Jr lauded the courage of said personnel and ensured the 4ID’s commitment in helping them to move forward from the tragic event. “We are ready for whatever assistance that the victims requires so that they will have speedy recovery. Our appeal to everyone are for constant prayers for the survivors’ healing and for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives.”
It can be recalled that the C130 military aircraft carrying 96 Airforce and Army personnel crashed in Patikul, Sulu last July 04, 2021 resulting in the death of 50 Air Force and Army personnel while 46 Army personnel survived.
The 28 remains (17 Army Personnel and 11 Air force Personnel) were already identified while the 21 remains are still being identified.
Last confirmed death was Pvt Jesfel Mequiabas PA of Brgy Mat-I, Claveria, Misamis Oriental who expired at 2:30 a.m. on July 16, 2021 while being treated at the ICU of Ciudad Medical de Zamboanga. He is one of the critically wounded survivors of the C-130 mishap in Patikul, Sulu.
